Job Title: Alternative Investments Analyst / Associate

About the Role
We are seeking a talented and driven Alternative Investments professional to join our growing team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of asset classes — including private equity, hedge funds, real estate, infrastructure, and private credit — within a dynamic and fast-paced investment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth due diligence on alternative investment opportunities across private equity, private debt, real assets, and hedge fund strategies
Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate fund performance, risk-adjusted returns, and portfolio construction
Prepare investment committee papers, recommendations, and portfolio reporting for senior stakeholders
Monitor existing fund investments, track performance metrics, and assess manager activity
Develop and maintain relationships with fund managers, GPs, and third-party advisers
Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and macroeconomic factors affecting alternative asset classes
Support capital raising, investor relations, and marketing activities as required
Requirements
2–5 years of experience in alternative investments, asset management, investment banking, or a related financial services role
Strong understanding of alternative asset classes and fund structures (LP/GP, co-investments, secondaries, etc.)
Proficient in financial modelling and analysis (Excel essential; Python or similar a plus)
CFA, CAIA, or equivalent qualification preferred (or working towards)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
Experience with data platforms such as Bloomberg, Preqin, or PitchBook is advantageous
