Rachel Buscall: CEO & Co-Founder of New Capital Link
Rachel Buscall, registered with Companies House under her full name Rachel Ann Buscall, founded New Capital Link in October 2020. As CEO, she sets the strategic direction for a business that's grown into a multi-award-winning boutique introducer to alternative investment opportunities.
From a tea room in Chelmsford to alternative investments
Rachel's career didn't follow a conventional straight line into financial services, and that's part of what shapes how she leads. She owned and ran a tea room in Chelmsford, Essex, for around four years, gaining hands-on experience of cash flow, day-to-day operations and building a business from the ground up before closing it in 2019.
Alongside running the tea room, she spent time working with Bank of Bullion and Bank FX, roles that gave her direct exposure to gold-backed investment products and foreign exchange, and a grounding in asset-backed structures that would go on to shape New Capital Link's focus on venture capital deals, asset-backed securities, property bonds and loan notes.
In October 2020, she brought those two worlds together, incorporating New Capital Link Limited (Company No. 12948489) to address gaps she'd identified in how sophisticated investors were able to access genuine alternative investment opportunities.

How Rachel leads
“Our mission has always been about more than just returns; it's about building a trusted ecosystem where investors feel empowered.”
New Capital Link is deliberately kept small at the top, and Rachel is closely involved day to day rather than sitting several layers removed from the team. Join the business and you'll have direct access to her from your first week, not just a name on an org chart. Read more about why our team chose New Capital Link.
What it's like to work alongside her
Rachel oversees New Capital Link's strategic direction and investor relations personally, with particular expertise spanning venture capital deals, asset-backed securities, property bonds and loan notes. For a new hire, that means genuine access to the person setting the firm's direction, not a management layer standing between you and decisions. Alongside CEO duties, Rachel also sets the strategic direction of the New Capital Link Foundation, the firm's charitable arm.
New Capital Link is a professional introducer, not a fund manager, and is not FCA regulated. Rachel does not hold formal regulated financial qualifications, and the firm is upfront about that with clients, candidates and partners alike, in the same way it's upfront about how the business actually operates.
